God help 'em if LaTech picks 'em off. The team will tank, collectively. Willie Champ will lose his everfreakin' mind. The fans will turn on them, savagely. The already-backed-up bathrooms of Willie Brice will invert and the Underworld's bowels will empty all over the Fairgrounds. Which I suspect has happened a time or two already, judging by the way the town smells.

Willie Champ has done worse before. He managed to lose to then-Division I-AA Georgia Southern...with Florida, en route to a near-total free-fall and 4-8 season.

I snuck a peak to see if Willie Champ &. the Flopper Boyz had anything to worry about and it actually appears they may. LaTech only ranks 66th in total offense (413.3 ypg) and 82nd overall in total defense (allowing 405.0 ypg), but the Fightin' Willie Champs are a woeful 111th (321.0 ypg gained) and 93rd (426.7 ypg allowed), plus LaTech plays in the Conference USA West, which is a considerably tougher division than the SEC East, so LaTech is used to a better level of competition than the Gamecocks are. ;)

If the Gamecocks somehow drop this one, you can probably go ahead and stick a fork in them. They're done.

Lou's son has a knack for beating superior teams .
With Sackerlina being nothing of the sort , I expect a tussle of minimally effective football troops .

My prediction is based on knowing nothing of LaTech and way more than I'd like to admit of USuC .

Going with the road dogs in a shootout ...29-27 Holtzters .
