They deserve the same benefit of the doubt that we would get when it comes to being a playoff caliber team. They won the first playoff and played us tough last season. If they're undefeated, it's a no brainer to put them in. With one loss, you can't count them out. That's the benefit of establishing credit with CFP. Let's say Michigan St or Penn St runs the table now and wins the Big 10. They do not deserve the benefit of the doubt that OSU has earned.

So what you're saying is, if OSU loses 1 of their 8 games, they still deserve a shot in the playoffs. I don't think they deserve a shot just playing 8 games, but oh well!!!

If they go undefeated and win the the BIG, they’ll be in.

It’s the #4 seed that is the big ? (especially now that Penn State lost). I’m thinking aTm may have a shot if they win out.

I don’t care what anyone says, getting the CFP #1 seed to play whoever gets in at #4 IOT play a ‘tune up’ game in the CFP Semi is going to be advantageous.
