Will 63 to 17 ever become old?

Jun 21, 2013, 5:01 PM

I still laugh....Go Tigers

45 - 0 was just as good to me.......both very nice.***

Jun 21, 2013, 7:25 PM

45-0 was worse for me.

I dont get the obsession with 63-17. Clemson played really well that night but I dont ever remember a fanbase being so happy for so long with the score of one ballgame.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

are you serious?

Jun 21, 2013, 7:25 PM

46 point difference.

Re: are you serious?

Jun 21, 2013, 7:30 PM

I get that it was a huge blowout but all those guys are gone. I dont understand why that particular score keeps coming up. The 45-0 game was even more dominant and I dont remember it being talked about for years like this.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Coots knew the 45-0 game was going to be bad

Jun 21, 2013, 7:49 PM

They had no idea that 63-17 was coming. It was a complete surprise, which makes it more fun.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yeah thats true

Jun 21, 2013, 7:50 PM

it was supposed to be a toss-up game

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: yeah thats true

Jun 21, 2013, 7:53 PM

Probably some truth in that. I was 13 when 45-0 happened, though, and had convinced myself we had a chance. Easy to rationalize whenyou are 13, I guess. I have sat through some painful games but that was the worst by far.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If you sat through it, you were of a few of garnet clad.

Jun 21, 2013, 8:34 PM

I think the stadium was more empty than the 63 - 17 game Conversely the beat down of us in 1975 did not empty the stadium.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I walked out of 63-17 to four slashed tires,

Jun 21, 2013, 9:07 PM [ in reply to Re: 45 - 0 was just as good to me.......both very nice.*** ]

Still was worth it.

Jun 21, 2013, 5:06 PM

me too but I'd laugh more if we had done something to win over them in recent years

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-74tiger.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes in 2013 @ WB

Yes it has. When we get our a$$ handed to us 4 years in a row its hard to go back 10 years and brag about 1 game..

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Will 63 to 17 ever become old?

Jun 21, 2013, 5:11 PM

lol - ^^^^wasn't at the game watching the hang-dawg look on the faces of the chickens. Never have I seen so many grown men crying in their beer.

It will never become old to me.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So you're clearly a Gamecock fan, why even play the charade

Jun 21, 2013, 8:25 PM [ in reply to Re: Will 63 to 17 ever become old? ]

of "we"? Fucking dumbass, fuck off.

Cole @ Beach Cole w/ Clemson Hat

A one point win

Jun 21, 2013, 5:15 PM

would suit me JUST FINE!!

But a total blowout in the Roach would be sweet!!!

Go Tigers!!

Re: A one point win

Jun 21, 2013, 5:17 PM

I agree, just win this year..and yes streaking I was at the game. Enjoyed it then but like the WV loss, I move on.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No, it won't.***

Jun 21, 2013, 5:19 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It becomes sad since Gamecocks are on a win streak now

Jun 21, 2013, 5:32 PM

I would take a 7-3 win over them this season.

not as long as the hyway sign is still there on I95 at walterboro

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Never....knew exactly where I was for that game..

Jun 21, 2013, 5:56 PM

Tucson Arizona preparing a Turkey as our Tigers were finishing up a slaughter....

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Another game I enjoyed was the night it was frigid cold

Jun 21, 2013, 5:58 PM

with sleet on the way. Clemson wins 14-13 last second field goal. I was 5 lines deep behind the top of the hill....AWESOME moment!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

if they don't beat the chickens soon, it won't mean a thing***

63-17 is FOREVER, and they know it. It sticks in their pathetic craws. 0-21

Jun 21, 2013, 6:36 PM

too.

Jun 21, 2013, 7:02 PM

It's funny, I bet I've met 3,000 people who were at that game.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

63-17 was my first carolina game

Jun 21, 2013, 7:37 PM

It was so bad it was comical. Personally, the 05 and 07 games hurt much worse because of the first and 35 and Aaron Kelly catch.

Those games actually made me think we were going to win then we got kicked in the stomach.

Does 70-33 ever get old?

Jun 21, 2013, 7:55 PM

It sure does if its directed at you.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Does 70-33 ever get old?

Jun 23, 2013, 6:05 AM

No, it does not. That is when our program turned and Dabo went out and did something about it with new hires. So besides being a chicken fan, are you now a West Virgina fan also. Do you yell SEC or Big East.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It will be very old if we (Gamecocks) ever score a bigger

Jun 21, 2013, 9:03 PM

win against you. Not likely at all, I'll admit. But 63-17 doesn't mean a damm thing if your rival can answer back with 70-7 or something. Not that I think it will EVER happen, but I hope it does one day in my lifetime.

I expect that our rivalry will be very close going into the future.
