Who's more intense during games - Coach BV or Dabo?

Apr 26, 2019, 5:45 AM

Most might say - "Oh man, no doubt it's Brent." But if it's game time & the clock's running - Dabo's pretty doggone intense! To me, it's a tie between those 2.

Remember Dabo chewing out Teasdall for the fake punt decision in the ACC Championship game vs UNC? That went on for about 10 minutes. Last year Dabo telling that official, "Do your job!" Dabo chest-bumping Wilkins, angered by his "Heisman pose" penalty! No problem getting in his face - even Wilkins!

Can you picture anyone taking the job as "get back" coach for Dabo? I can't.

Both of those guys become different people on the sidelines - INTENSE & LASER FOCUSED!

Like I said - pretty much a tie. Great game managers & leaders of young men.

If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

He’s scary intense during a game.

Is this a trick question?

It sounds like a trick question.

No, not at all BengalBilly. I think both BV & Dabo, in a way, become different people when the game is on. It's an extra "game gear." Some switch gets flipped to the "on" position & both become hyper-focused. It's just excellent game management - during each week's 3-4 hour "live game" window.

Of course, without the work every week (actually all year), nobody can become great managers (focused & intense) during the games. If the work & the practices aren't focused, coaches will try to flip "the switch" to ON at game time - but instead of clear bright lights they get foggy confusion; maybe even panic.

Both BV & Dabo are different people off the field & on, but they work & prepare the same way all year - resulting in the consistency, & of course - the wins. They "Do their jobs." That's why I say when the subject is intensity - it's a tie.
