Which is a better path to the Orange Bowl?

Hypothetically, let's assume that Clemson will win all of its remaining games for the remainder of the season.
Should we hope that Florida State loses two ACC games (VT and Miami?) thereby allowing Clemson to win the ACC championship and advance to the Orange Bowl? But in the process diminishing our one loss and the ACC as a whole. In this case, Clemson returns to the Orange Bowl as an automatic bid from a relatively weak conference.
Or, should we hope that FSU wins all of its remaining games and advances to the BCS National Championship? Clemson by its ranking (and assuming Notre Dame falls out of the picture) advances to the Orange Bowl as an at-large selection. In this case, Clemson has one good loss to a top 2 team (maybe NC) and the conference is elevated by the presence to two dominant programs.
I hate to root for FSU so I want to believe in the former, but somehow I think the latter might be better???

Yes the OB has to take an ACC team, ACC is a AQ FOR THE Orange Bowl.

"3. If a bowl loses a host team to the NCG, then such bowl shall select a replacement team from among the automatic-qualifying teams and the at-large teams before any other selections are made."

The Orange Bowl would be allowed to choose any team they want and are not required to choose Clemson (or any ACC team).

If FSU can make it to the NC game (it chokes me to say this) good luck to them. But if they loose One game, I hope for them to loose Two.

Bourbon Street rather than South Florida this year.
That is if we don't win the ACC.

The conference would look significantly better

if the ACC had 2 BCS teams, one being a national title game, and the other one having their only loss to that national title (potentially) team. And it would REALLY look good for the ACC to win both of those games.
As for whether the Orange bowl would take us or if they could pick someone else, If we win out the rest of our games, we will probably be in a BCS bowl, whether that be Orange or not.
Personally, I dont really care what the rest of the conference does, I only care whether Clemson wins or not, and if we win, things will take care of themselves.

Just Win Out

Then we will probably go to a BCS bowl.
Only scenario preventing that would be one ACC loss for FSU and a lose to FL.
Then we would probably play Florida/GA or Chicken rematch at the Chick-fil-a
Not bad either way

By the end of the season if Clemson wins out I don't see how Clemson wouldn't be in the top 5

Why would we want FSU to win anything? Give me the ACC Champs and send FSU packing. Screw the whole conf. thing who cares what anybody thinks just as long as we are winning.
Some of you are way to young to understand that.

FSU beat us. They are a good team. Despite the rivalry, I like FSU. So I gotta say, GO NOLES.
If they go undefeated and get a NC bid, we have better shots at being at another BCS bowl. If they lose 1 or two, its over. We will have to rely on strength of schedule to get us to the ACC Championship, meaning FSU would have to REALLY suck the rest of the season. OF course, that would make us look like crap, and further weaken the ACC.
Best scenario since we didn't beat FSU: FSU gets a NC bid (and wins!), we go to another BCS bowl (and win!). 2 big ACC teams coming back to upset the SEC scam league, 1 with a BCS NC, the other with a BCS win. Even cooler: 2 ACC teams creating an in-conference dynasty to drop an even bigger deuce in the SEC's cheerios.

Best outcome would be to play FSU in the BCS title game and leave the Orange Bowl for someone else.
