When will the "come be the first" BS become played out?

You'd think after 126 years of Gamecock football that they would have had a lot of "firsts" by now.

But alas, they have not, and they will not. They have literally never won anything - save for one ACC championship 50 years ago. Don't listen to Muschamp, a few good recruits can't put lipstick on a pig

So to recruits with options: Do you want to be the "first," and end up almost assuredly winning nothing, or be the best, and have a chance to win everything?

You're not the first to be sold on being the "first," and if 126 years is any indication you already know the truth.
