What will our actual DL depth be next year?

With Yeargin coming back and the 4 DL recruits in the 2018 class, how many guys are we talking here total?

We return 14 defensive lineman, and bring in 5 more

Georgia and Athens just did not offer what I felt would be best for me in the end. Sure, I had a fun time on my visit, but when it comes to playing football I just do not feel comfortable there. And when you consider everything that is going on up there, it makes you wonder just how long Kirby Smart is going to be around. He certainly is no Dabo Swinney or Nick Saban, and let's just leave it there. -Jadon Haselwood

Good lord. What kind of D can we run to maximize that?

5-2?

Heavy rotation. Say after every 3 and out.

Our offense will get exhausted.

With incoming freshman listed last

SDE-Bryant, Register, Kelly, Thomas

DT-Wilkins, Huggins, J. Robinson, Johnson, Williams, Jefferies

NT-Lawrence, Pinckney, Belk

WDE-Ferrell, Yeargin, Rudolph, Foster, Henry, Mascoll

Now, you'll have two graduate players other than Wilkins who will be in steep competition just to get snaps in Register and Robinson. Johnson could graduate this spring, so there are three possible transfers. I'd rate them from most likely to least as Register, Johnson then Robinson, and I think at last one will move on for PT. Register and Johnson have two years eligibility each, Robinson one.

Of the freshmen, Mascoll definitely red shirts. Likely one of Belk or Jefferies, and I think Henry is a strong candidate to put on the needed weight.

So my guess for the season

SDE- Bryant, Thomas, Kelly
DT-Wilkins, Huggins, Robinson, Williams
NT-Lawrence, Pinckney, one of Belk or Jefferies
WDE-Ferrell, Yeargin, Rudolph, Foster

Thanks for writing this out.

Pretty good write up, +1.

Agree with Henry redshirting, similar situation to Shaq Smith last year.
