Not only signing with us, but the impact that signing had on our Football Program. At that point our recruiting was getting better, but we weren't getting that many wow players at RB, QB, and WR. CJ Spiller was that wow player, whose greatness drew attention to Clemson for the younger kids watching Spiller at a young age. Another significant part of Spiller's recruitment, was the coach assigned to recruit him. That assistant was Dabo. We weren't even on the radar for Spiller. Dabo was able to convince Spiller to come to Clemson and the rest is history. That signing was a key moment and start for our success over the past 5 seasons. Since then we have gotten a ton of wow players, and they just keep rolling in. Now the younger kids have grown up watching Sammy, Nuk, Tajh, Ellington, Martavis, Gallman, Deshaun and a few others.
Who would have thought ten years ago Dabo would be our head coach and we just finished playing in the national title game. In 2006 we were just hoping to get a 10 win season, now competing for a national title year in and year out is a reality.
