I'm not even in a Frat but this is uncalled for. First, don't attack your own fan base. Second, you shouldn't make fun of other people's cultures when they do no harm. I think these are standard issue upon pledging. I say this as a former fraternity guy at Clemson. Back then they'd issue us Ray Ban aviators or Revo as pledges. Upon initiation we got the money clips.

Nah. They just take it out of dues. Usually someone has an older brother who is a Jr sales rep or someone's dad owns a chain of sporting goods stores so you get them for near cost.
