We would go undefeated with the Coots schedule.

Apr 24, 2019, 9:58 AM

A lot has been made lately about strength of schedules. Coots schedule this coming year is generally considered one of, if not the toughest. To which I say, we would go undefeated with that schedule.

There are only 3 "tough" games on it, Bama, Georgia, and Clemson. Now, we know that Bama can handle Georgia, and for sure, we know that we can handle Bama. So, based on good ole Lamecock transitive logic, Clemson for sure can handle Georgia. Clemson vs Clemson, obviously Clemson wins. There would be no other problems on that schedule for us, other than the irony of playing Mizzou with Bryant at QB. Venables would make life beyond miserable for Kelly in that game. So, since we would be in the East, the only question left would be who would we wind up playing in the SEC Championship Game? We hung one loss on Bama, and there is at least the possibility that someone in their division also beat them one game. Could be LSU, Auburn, or even A&M. This means they possibly would not be in the SEC Championship game, much less the Playoffs. This would be Armageddon for the SEC. So, lucky for all concerned that it is the Coots that actually have this schedule, since the propsect of them and MoistCramp winning these games is laughable.

One of use would lose.

Does that count as half a loss?

No, Clemson wins. I prefer to think that the "Us" Clemson

won, rather than the "Them" Clemson. Let's not get into paradoxes here, it might confuse some of the readerships. :)

SEC Clemson would be tired from the grueling SEC schedule and therefore couldn’t beat ACC Clemson as they would be well rested from their weak conference schedule.

The only team that can beat Clemson is Clemson
