Imagine someone telling you back in 2012 that that would be the case.

Yep. Unfortunately, they had 15 in a row over us during the 10-30's, and 10 in a row over us in the 50-60's. Thank goodness we have turned it around recently, winning the five in a row, and eight of the last 10. This is going to sound ridiculous, but the last time we had the series lead on them was way back in 1910, at 6-5-1. We are catching up now, though! Overall is 50-32-2.

Posted the basically the same thing earlier, it doesnt seem like it was that long ago that the GT games were always nail biters. I know they have a new coach and are trying to run a new style of offense but would the score really have been that much different if PJ was coaching in this game?

Nope; only difference may have been a shutout by our defense

BV figured him out in a hurry. I think those games were good for our defense (minus the chop blocks), it instilled the importance of playing your assignment and trusting your teammate to do his job. Assignment football is always a keystone to a BV game plan.

Speaking of that I think our game was way better prep for our next one than aTm got from Tx St. last night.

Bad snap on the punt in 2004 Calvin Johnson BS in 2004 phantom holding calls (2005-2009, thanks Ron Cherry) Called back TD with 10 offensive players on the field in 2005 (why was that even a penalty then?) The two games in 2009 BS illegal fake punt in 2011 All of the cutblocks and having to play that gimmick 1930s offense for so long
Feels good.

sitting down to watch this one last night and having zero concerns over the outcome. As a long time tiger fan there is still a lot of baggage with these types of games as they used to be nail biters or loses in the not to distant past.

Really, since 2012, Clemson has been clearly the better team. We got lucky in 2014 when Watson was injured.
CPJ liked to out-scheme people, but he couldn't recruit. Collins will put a premium on upgrading our talent. So, let's see where this series goes in a few years. Switching from a CPJ roster to a normal college roster will take a while.
