Watkins' big play shows why he is one of North Carolina's top prospects

Chase (N.C.) High School defensive tackle Carlos Watkins made the kind of play in Friday night's game against Chesnee that has high school coach raving about his potential. Full Story »

Clemson needs more athletes like Carlos Watkins. Rumor has it that he's leaning toward Alabama. Tiger coaches should stay close to this one. I see him play every Friday night, and he is turning heads all over the country. We're doing everything possible, along with his coach (Chuck) McSwain to get him to Tigertown!

Saw his game last week against West Lincoln and he was in the backfield every single play. Would love to see him in Tiger Orange.

Everything I've heard regarding him is if he announces early he is going to Clemson. If he continues to wait the results of the upcoming season will factor in heavily with where he goes but I'm pretty sure Clemson is the leader as of now.

His coach was a good one

I enjoyed seeing Chuck play. A Great Tiger.

Good player, even better guy. I played for him in high school and he knew that I was a huge Clemson fan. At the end of my senior season he gave me a signed pic of him and Tony Dorsett standing together in their Dallas Cowboy uniforms. The Boss is a pretty cool fella.

His coach's name is actually Daniel Bailey, not Don.

Carlos, the Boss (Chuck) is wise...listen to him and come to Clemson.

Trojan Pride!

Go Tigers!

I saw him play this past Friday night against my former high school and he was totally unblockable. Kid is huge, was by far the biggest player on either team. Like article mentions, he is very athletic and really pursues the ball very well. Would love to have him in Clemson orange.
