He's right. But maybe the difference now is they no longer have delusions of mediocrity. Mediocrity would be a huge step up.

Ok let's assume he believes this. He's been the president for 9 years and has allowed mediocrity until now? If I'm a USuC fan, I'm pointing fingers at him. The whole culture is less than mediocre and it starts with the top down and he just admitted it.
