Trump gets booed by a Republican crowd

He got booed by a friendly crowd after a joke at the expense of Mark Sanford. Only a couple boos, but the room fell silent enough for them to be heard.
If he's losing these crowds, things are looking bad. It was an immigration meeting, which lends credibility to the stories suggesting he's shedding GOP support quickly on the issue.
To top it off, if he decides to keep his face out there, Sanford may be in a position to try to primary Trump in 2020.

When it comes to public opposition on the child detainment issue. The numbers with independents/swing voters are very bad for the GOP. Now, a lot can happen between now and November, and of course 2020, but the GOP knows this moment could be very harmful for them. I think this may finally be the line Trump has crossed.

Here and on buddybook I can see why.
Not saying a reasonable person can't take issue with certain things happening, but the level of understanding of what is going on is almost more concerning to me.

What's being misunderstood? Because on here and Buddybook, I keep seeing people making claims about what the law says and can't their story straight since the Trump admin can't either.

You're making it out to be like he was at a campaign rally or something...it was a meeting of House Republicans on the Hill.
While interesting nonetheless, its not like Jethro and Billy Bob in Jay, Alabama
are suddenly turning their back on him.
And no way in hell Congressman Sanford runs for President in 2020

That said, you're still not living in reality. Repubs love Trump. Like I said, no Repub POTUS, going back to Ike, has had more support from his base than Trump has. I dislike Trump and want him gone, but you're living in a dream world. Face reality.

You seem to be arguing a point no one has made.
Joe Republican on thr street loves Trump. Plenty of the people who are in positions to attend closed-door meetings with him don't. That's a concern for any President, because they can hurt his agenda (whatever that is).

And he's losing support left and right, especially over this immigrant issue, because of it. My wife had a discussion with her parents this weekend. They were Trump supporters until now. They're devout Christians and they can't support this.
And using the Detroit Lions logo for Trump? Not exactly a winning combo...
