Tigers in San Fran?!?!?!

I flew in by myself on Friday morning and spent the last two nights with some friends who live in Redding and went up to Mt Shasta today! Northern Cali is a beautiful place! Coming back to Bay Area tomorrow. Where are all the Tigers hanging out?! Ready to spread some of my two dollar bills around!

The redwoods are definitely the most impressive plants I’ve ever seen. I was also surprised by the large numbers of hippies that live around the Eureka area. We went into a pub to get a hamburger and a beer, the guy I was working with (he was almost 60) asked the waitress “what’s the local industry?” She very matter of factly replied “weed”. My buddy says “excuse me?” The waitress says “weed” (there’s a 5 second pause while the waitress is registering his utter shock and disbelief, then she continues) “ya know, dope, marijuana.......ya know, weed? It used to logging, but now it’s mostly weed.” Then she walks off to put in our order. It was pretty funny to see Lee’s expression. Complete shock.

Very pretty country up there.
