Tiger nation lost a great one today.

My grandfather, who played in the 1959 Sugar Bowl, passed away.
He had his leg amputated a while back. This is the leg that he had made for himself.
He was a Tiger through and through. RIP PaPa.

I probably remember him. The Sugar Bowl, played on 1/1/58 was my first Clemson game. Did he also play in the 1959 Bluebonnet Bowl. A big win over a good TCU team.

Unfortunately, no. He had to end his football career early to take care of other priorities in life. But Frank Howard, being the man that he was, kept him on scholarship anyways.
