That the media has is stupid. Every year they get over hyped and end up getting stomped against better teams. They always beat overrated teams and get too much attention. They are not a playoff team.

True, but part of the fun of being a Clemson fan is watching this happen again and again. I remember media members literally laughing at the idea that we would beat OU both in 2014 and 2015 . . . and then we crushed them both games.

And of course not just them . . . same laughter when we faced LSU, O-31-O (twice), Bama, etc.

Things change. If OU beats TCU they have done enough to earn themselves a shot at changing that narrative.. just as we did with ours.

They are around #70 in total defense.

When has a team with that bad of defense not gotten clocked when they come to play a balanced team with a top 10 defense?

Defense has always won championships. Baker "F U" Mayfield will have trouble completing passes from the sideline watching the other team knock their defense 5 yards back on every play.

It is amazing how the so called experts on ESPN, CBS, Fox, etc. don't understand the simple concept that if you don't have a top 10 defense, you aren't going to win the playoffs.

the playoff. I hate Baker Mayfield too, but he's a darn good college QB. They whipped Ohio State on their home field. Their D isn't particularly good, but it has shown up in a few games and they have the best offense in the country.

They might get clocked in the semis, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve a chance. Who would you rather see in there? Right now the leading contenders are Bama/UGA/Auburn, Clemson/Miami, Wisconsin/Ohio State, and Oklahoma. OU is in unless they lose.
