The article posted today and they have already closed the comments. SMH

I was going to post a comment re: his swipe AGAIN at Dabo about Kelly Bryant's ring. Per NCAA rules, “awards for participation in special events may be provided only to student-athletes eligible to participate in the competition.” He is NOT PERMITTED to have a ring - no matter if he wants one or if Dabo wants to give him one. Same with the 3 players suspended for the bowl games - they weren't eligible to play and cannot have the rings.

The hilarious part is the tag advertisement that says "The Guardian's independent, investigative journalism"....minus the part about investigate....or journalism. I guess the phrasing "we write grammatically correct slam pieces" was a bit too on-the-nose??

of the 1st Amendment as well as the separation of church and state...

in a nutshell, freedom of speech does NOT RESTRICT speech except in the case of hate speech and threats to others, and the separation of church and state means that the state cannot mandate nor exclude the practice of any religion under any circumstances. The gov't and its entities cannot enforce any belief over any other, and allows any and all beliefs.

the separation of church and state also does not validate the US as a christian nation. the practice of christianity is the largest observance of religion in the US but as a nation, the US is secular because it does not mandate, enforce or exclude any religion or religious practice...
