Things that could improve soccer...

1. Make the goals larger.

2. Don't allow the goalie to use hands, or

3. Let all the players use their hands

4. Make the field about half its size, and play five on five.

Any one of the above changes could improve the scoring

1. Let them throw and catch the ball.

2. Let them run with the ball.

3. Let them tackle the man with the ball.

4. Let them block the man trying to tackle the man with the ball.

5. Let them wear pads...

Remove about 40 yards from the length of the field.

Also each half ends with 5 corner kicks for each team. Those seem more exciting than the rest of it.

How about just have Clemson play Alabama every game on a neutral field,say somewhere in California.
Ticket prices would be cheaper, for sure, and we wouldn't have to listen to the pundits at eSECpn talk about all that SEC speed.

At least in soccer you get 90 minutes of continuous action and not a 60 minute game with 12 minutes of real action.

A smaller field would actually hurt the quality of the game.
