The facilities arms race continues

Bama is dropping $600 million to renovate all of their athletic venues including modernizing Bryant Denny Stadium and gutting their basketball arena. These renderings of their football stadium are insane!

I'm salivating at the thought of us upgrading Death Valley. I'm hoping we'll release some plans soon.

It’s definitely time to add chair back seating everywhere except student section, new video board, 3rd deck to wez and better concessions. Gotta keep up with the Jones’s.
Someone mentioned updating the outside facade also. The south side upper deck entrance is a little suspect with the chain link fence...

Why in the world would we add chair back seating ?? So folks can sit there and play on their phones? Geez! Stand up will ya! If you want to sit, stay at home and watch on TV

Finally!

Oh no ..... not a stander! One guy directly in front of me stands the whole game making everyone else either have to stand to look around him. Very inconsiderate!

if you are unable to stand shouldn't you stay out at the

Tailgate or at home in your recliner?

I'm sure it's difficult to get handicap seating with the limited availability.

install chairback seats? I think the upper decks could accomodate chairbacks, although seating capacity would decrease.

Upgrades are good for about 2 or 3 years, then you

Last week I went to ATT Park in San Francisco and really enjoyed it. It is a really simple park with a nice aesthetic like Wrigely or PNC Park. All three of those ball parks are about baseball.

Conversely I like DV just as she is. We don’t need a bigger video board or a third tier on the WZ. And a seat back would just get in my way when I’m high-fiving everyone around me. I certainly don’t want to mess with the look and feel of DV. It’s a beatiful stadium nestled amoungst all the trees and rolling hills. I love looking out to my right to the Blue Ridge to my left and the campus to my right. Don’t munk that up with crappy buildings.

Anyway...

Everything about Alabama since Saban took over reeks of “professional” football/sports. They just continue to get further and further from the college experience IMHO. No thank you.

Hopefully upgrades to Death Valley are coming soon!***
