The "Pull for your hated rival for state pride" rule

Has this been codified?
What is in it:
1) Proposed 3/25/17; ratified 4/1/17
2) Sundown provision: 4/4/17
3) 100+ years of history (especially current year head to head) is irrelevant
4) State pride trumps conference pride (unless you are in the SEC)
5) State pride trumps your March Madness brackets
Facts:
1) Duke will be pulling for North Carolina
2) Auburn students rolled Toomer's trees on January 10 out of sympathy for Alabama
3) You could count on one clenched fist the number of Coots who told me they were pulling for us prior to 1/9/17
4) You could not count the number of Coots who found State pride on 1/11/17 and claimed they pulled for us
If either of the Coot teams wins and McMaster flies a Coot flag over my statehouse, there will be hell to pay!

the accomplishment and give due credit, because that is fair and reasonable. To do otherwise would be to assume the attributes that we so often criticize them. But to deem it necessary to actually root for them?
If you really believe that, you probably didn't grow up here from the times before either school had any national prominence, and the rivalry WAS the big thing.

Baylor is pure, unadulterated evil. I did not pull for USC to win. They just happened to be the other team. But that's the extent of my "state pride." The madness ends tonight.
