Targeting - Refresher/Continuing Training

Sep 22, 2017, 2:00 PM

Just for clarity, here are a couple recent examples of NON-targeting tackles.

Pay close attention to the player being knocked semi-unconscious and the stripped tape on the top of the helmet tearing. It's crystal clear these plays are night and day different from the one called on our new 'reckless player' Tanner Muse.

Hey Post and Courier........smdh.

I get PO'd every time I see that gallman play. I'm still mad about it 1 year later. Is that thug still playing for ncst?

Underrated point.

Suppose that had been called correctly. Then we retain possession -- though we still lose Gallman -- we score and kick their bu++ and the missed FG at the end doesn't happen. Sick of this rule.

I understand the rule, I think the rule is good, but the interpretation of the rule has no consistency. That is what frustrates me the most. It seems as though the rule is interpreted by how hard and in which direction the wind is blowing at the time of the foul....that is what frustrates me.

No the guy who concussed Gallman was #8 and was a senior last year. He's also not listed on the roster this year.

Ugh, that hit and the way DW lands still makes me cringe. Was there in the stadium and almost puked - I knew he was done. That kid is bulletproof.

How about Reuben (Sandwich) Foster trying to decapitate DW4? It was not a targeting, but still very dirty, IMO.
