Simmons in the first round? Taken before ETN and Higgins?

Did I miss something somewhere? The is boy athletically gifted but so far hasn't got first round stats. Maybe I don't work as a NFL draft analyst for a reason.

Not surprised at all. Even with all the great talent on team, Simmons may be the best athlete and pro-ready player along with TL16. Tiger Nation should understand Simmons is not good but great.

I was thrilled that he chose to return. He was not the attention getter with our front 4 but was definitely a key player and exactly what the pros are after in this era. I’m hoping we find his replacement soon.

What? Led the national champions in tackles while

playing strong side LB/nickel.

Normally a middle or weak side LB leads the team in tackles.

If he is indeed the best nfl ready LB he could go before some skill players. It also depends on how many quality LBs are available vs the number of WR or RB available.

More importantly, there is a reason Eddie munster isn't a director of player personnel for an nfl team.

Yes, Simmons goes first among them in the NFL draft. Drafting for PlayStation would be different.***

Athletically gifted counts for more than college stats in a lot of cases, regarding the draft. I'm not surprised at all to see Simmons that high. He's a much rarer type of player than Tee or Travis, gifted though they are.

You never fully understand the NFL draft. I've followed the pros almost as closely as college for 12 years now and right when you think nothing will surprise you, Mitch Hyatt goes undrafted. Other things don't though, like how despite being a monster, freak athlete, DK Metcalf was a late second rounder, despite some mocks having him in the top 15. Mocks immediately after the Combine are absolute trash, btw. The talking heads have knee-jerk reactions to Combine performances just as bad as the fans. Picture only starts getting clear a week or two before the draft.

This is consistent across every mock that I have seen. Simmons is a baller and will go 1st round and likely top 20. This is before the talking heads go nuts over his athleticism at the combine.

Another pattern that I have seen is Higgins going at the back half off first round but then comments by the authors that its probably too low and he should go higher. Nothing like covering your #### and going ahead you are wrong....smh

Higgins will be the best WR in the draft and will continue to grow for a few years. He will be an All Pro for many years.
