And bothers me that his father isn't coming with him on his official visit. His father is also his coach so seems that he should be along if the Tigers truly have a chance with him.

I agree. Not getting my hopes up on this one since his dad, who happens to be his head coach, isn’t coming. But it’ll add some suspense to add a Clemson hat on signing day to a longtime LSU lean.

Read a tweet from QT saying his dad is accepting an award for being a top high school coach this weekend and that otherwise he'd be there

That makes sense, and if true, is a perfectly good reason for his non-attendance.

Ok, thanks for that update. Makes sense and seems I remember that his dad visited once before but I may be dreaming.

When did ugay stop sending a private jet out to bring recruits to Athens? Used to be a common practice there.

2nd step is to keep the recruiting websites from him.***

Send our bag man to "pay" this kid a visit, he is not only talented, he is very fast with very good vision!!! Oh, and bag man, I think the bag needs to be full to keep you from making a return visit. Make it a one stop shopping trip!!!;);)

All I can say Patrick, if you’re serious about winning championships, it’s down to two schools. Us and Bama. You will be the G O A T here. May be waiting in line at Bama...

But the real reason is there’s no comparison in the schools and brotherhood. You hear about football at bama but here you get both. Football and a future!!!!

Ed Orgeron must have really charmed him with his words, once the interpreter relayed them to Surtain. Well anyway, he is likely LSU bound, but getting him on campus does leave a crack in the door, and at least on this one Clemson is getting a visit after Alabama. UGA must have filled their quota for 5 stars given that Campbell is lock there, so here is one that UGA can't have, either because they have no room, or Surtain wants to go somewhere that be can have an instant impact.

sources say he is scheduled to visit NewSpring during visit***

Sounds promising visiting the Tigers a couple of weeks til final signing day. We need PS. Does he need and want Clemson. We'll see soon.

If we had room for 3 more, but only signed 1 more player....

I would want it to be Patrick Surtain Jr.

We REALLY could use a 5* corner to go with this already stellar class.
