The second photo shows Lever under construction, but what is the white house seen over the top of Shilletter?

my first semester at Clemson before exams started on Monday. Had food poisoning from the dining hall - nurse gave me a shot and gave me a bed and I didn't wake up until Wednesday morning. GPA never recovered from that week. Wish I could find out what was in that shot.

I had a dorm room in the south west corner of Lever the first year it was opened. What a great room after living in the tin cans. Seems like it opened in 1969/70 or maybe '68/69. I was supposed to graduate in spring of '70 but took until spring '71.

When was the steam plant and smoke stack built? I thought it was one of the early buildings but I don't see it in the 1940 photo.

barracks 2 & 3, but not the new one. Not sure that it's not a painting and maybe some liberties were taken. It's also interesting that barracks #8 (Norris) is not there.

I know exactly when the second picture was taken. It is the coed dorm. It was 1967-1968. I was a senior in 1968, and was married. My wife had already graduated and was teaching elementary school in Westminster. During the spring break of 1968, all of my buddies spent the week in Daytona Beach. With nothing to do, and my wife working, I took a job for the week as a laborer working on that high rise coed dorm. These pictures bring back many fine memories

The tin cans did not beautify the campus. I am glad to know they were cheap to build.
