Parker did a good job recruiting. Developing the players?.......Not so much.

I walked down to the soccer field and watched them warm up. A full scrimmage 1st team O vs 1st team D. Just before game time they came down from the soccer field to the hill. They looked like Bill Murry's platoon heading to the parade ground in the move Stripes. The crowd went crazy. Lit into the coots like a windmill in a tornado.

Big time parties that night in Clemson our was at the Chicken Shack!

My first Clemson vs. Coots game. Have not missed one since.

This year will be the first time in 44 years that I will miss this game. :(

Guess I have to start a new streak in 2021. :)

I seem to remember that year we did not score a TD in the first quarter all year but did it twice against the coots.

My first ever trip to Clemson. 13 years old. My family was Clemson so I already was a fan and knew where I was going to school. Drove in and out from Perimeter Road, parked in Lot 6 so I didn't see much of the campus that day but it sure sealed the deal for me.

Like that Block C at midfield. Pretty Sharp. Also love the white goal post. Never liked the ugly yellow ones.

1. I was there.
2. It felt like a big crowd, but little did we know.
3. Those worse than high school field lights are hilarious.
4. Seems odd now that the decision to put in permanent lighting sufficient for TV night games was not universally welcomed.
