All eyes were on top-ranked Clemson as the No. 12 Texas A&M Aggies came to town for a rematch after the Tiger’s narrow escape last year at Kyle Field. No escape was needed Saturday afternoon at Death Valley as Clemson (2-0 overall, 1-0 ACC) put together at dominating 24-10 win over Texas A&M (1-1, 0-0). Full Story »

I would have to argue the title...
Defense looked like they didn’t care most of the fourth quarter.
Offense looked vanilla. Which is maybe what the staff was going for and if that’s the case then I tip my cap to them. Getting by with a W and not showing many cards is nice but if that’s why they were going for it certainly wasn’t very clean.

I would not have used the word shined. I'm not pleased with the defense. Maybe Venables is doing the best with what he has to work with. We don't have a pass rush unless we send 6.

Defense is still a work in progress, but overall I’m happy

With the way they played Saturday. To only give up 10 pts to the Aggies w/ Mond is pretty darn impressive. BV was bringing pressure so Mond had to try to throw when he wasn’t set. It worked.

The offense still needs to find it’s rhythm. I think if we would have scored on the two misses by TL (article says drops, but two TD’s missed were on TL - throw slightly behind Ladson and missing Ross down the sideline on one) all fans would have been ecstatic with a 38-10 win. In fact, I say Mond should have hit his guy early and the score really should have been 38-17. Regardless, a win is a win and it’s early. Once this offense gets going, watch out. And it should get going Saturday after what I saw MD do to Cuse. Of course that is if we can play with our QB & not 3rd string QB the entire game.
