The refs were soooo good man what a great job the ACC does making it look almost not planned. The late foul call on Trapp may be the worst call I’ve seen in awhile. Waits to see it’s gonna be an awkward shot then calls a foul. The Wolfpack guy steps on Clyde’s foot and they call a foul... great call great ####### call ??

The calls did suck, but they sucked both ways. That's to be expected in the ACC.

We had an 18 point lead. This never should have come down to the refs. Totally inexcusable.

Both Clemson and NCSU are among the best 64 teams in the country. But neither are deserving and neither would be missed in NCAA’s. With one and done college hoops, the spectacle of 64 teams is fun for pools and betting. But the field could easily be 32 or even 16 based on teams with a legit shot to win. Go get ‘me next year Tigers! Stay tuned for baseball and pigskin summer practices ...

The major fact this article is missing is that the Tigers scored only 7 points in the final 15 minutes. How is that even possible???

The Brad Brownell offense, folks.

TBH, even if we had pulled it off, we did not look like a tournament team.

You hit on the primary problem for the entire year.....Clemson gets a big lead and than somewhere in the 2nd half we fail to score for 10 minutes or more. My wife noticed during those dry spells, we let the shot clock go down to 10 seconds before we even get aggressive on offense but alas time runs out again and again. In this league you have to stay aggressive on offense and defense regardless of the score. We cannot live by the three alone. Must move without the ball and take that open short jumper.....no designated shooters. Frustrating to watch for sure. And why is Thomas out there almost at half court to get that 5th foul...that was big. I hate it for these seniors that came back. Maybe next year?

Heartbreak? Write the article with honesty. The refs made a makeup call to save NCState. That would be the truth.

There were no fouls on a couple of those calls. Replay clearly showed that. Having the ACCT in NC is a joke. You might as well spot a NC team 10 points before the game even begins. ACCT needs to be in a neutral State. DC, NJ, anywhere but NC.

Something needs to happen.. It really makes no sense how we play good in the first half and cant finish off the game. Everyone needs to stop trying to be the superstar and play some basketball that should have been a easy win. Nuff said.

I've had all I can stands, and I can't stands NO MORE!!! I'm usually one of the last one's to admit that it's time to move on from where we're at with coaching. I hate saying it, but it is time to move on, and after I come to feeling that way, it's usually 2 or 3 more years of the AD spinning his wheels and moving no where...He will hire someone just to keep his E-Mail box cleaned out!!!

On the bright side, maybe that L just got us a new coach. I like Brownell character-wise and I wish him nothing but the best, but how many chances does he get? 4 returning starters from last year's tourney team, and this is the product you put out? That shouldn't fly, even at a football school such as ourselves...

Well, the good thing for BB

Too many comments to a wrong call by anybody's standards. Refs need to be fired and the their contracts changed When this kind of wrong call gets made, a review is made to review all Refs get docked for incompetence. No other word for it. ACC basketball is all NC.

I originally thought that was primarily a football site, and now it's inundated with basketball posts---about which I care zero---as in nothing! Can anyone even venture a guess as to when Clemson basketball (such as it exists) will ever be truly competitive??: Not that I care. l don't. Neither does a vast amount of the Clemson fan base. But, the answer is never. But by all means the true believers should hang on. Nirvana is just around the corner.

One of the worse officiated games I’ve ever seen. However, the biggest problem with this team is that the players just are not smart basketball players.

Prime example was the play were Thomas blocked the ball late in the game. State has a player that lays on the floor & can’t get up following the block. CU has a 5 on 4 advantage yet Mitchell & the guards walk it up. CU is in a half court set rather than just taking the ball to the hole, they settle for a bad 3 point miss.

I’ve never been happier to see some Seniors leave the program. Next years team will be better simply by subtraction.

Simms is the best player on the roster and has been misused & not been given the ball more. Sort of like Coach B did with KJ a few years back. He will have huge numbers next year.

Bye Skara & your .4 points per game. Give me somebody that has a chance to get me 10 per game. Mitchell can dribble but doesn’t go anywhere & has the worst shot selection of anybody I’ve seen.

Thomas sorry you had to play with idiots that don’t know how to get you the ball 4 out of every 5 possessions. I’d foul all the time too in frustration with your teammates & poor cosching.

All this frustration and I keep wanting not to watch this team but bring on next season & the hope that Tyson, Trapp, Newman, Simms, & youth will be a little wiser & a smarter team!

Poor coaching lost the game for the Tigers. You do not go to a slow down with an 18 point lead, and half a game to play. The players got there by being aggressive, and when you try to protect a lead you always loose that lead, and the players have a hard time getting their rhythm back. Brownell is famous for doing this his whole time at Clemson. He got the big contract, and has layed down on his coaching.

The game was a microcosm of the entire season. Start out like gangbusters but can't close the deal. Look at how many games came down to the last possessions. The officiating was horrible but you can't lose when you dominated the game! Until we start to better develop and become better fundamentally we will continue to struggle. Its time to get a coach that can do BOTH! ...
