Exactly ! Oklahoma was down 21 -0 before they knew what hit them . Our defense is vastly superior to OU but Tua is a great QB and we can't get down early or it will spell trouble. Georgia had the best chance to beat Bama but blew it in the 3rd quarter . It will take 4 quarters of herculean effort to slay Alabama.

Whether we start fast or not is inconsequential in my estimation. It is more important against a team like Alabama that we play consistently well in EVERY phase of the game and that when our opportunities surface we capitalize on them with a high success rate... be it scoring on offense or stopping Alabama from doing so .
Consistently well through 4 quarters ... that is all we can hope for . Do that and I love our chances to raise that trophy again !

CW42 & Defense will be overcoming our mediocre at best special teams play. IMHO breaking even with Bama on special teams would push the Tigers over the top and turn them into the national champions this time tomorrow night.

We better come up with a better offensive game plan than last year which had no imagination. They know the plays we run with the sideline passes and jet sweeps. Alabama will crowd the line like last year and tight man coverage on our receivers . They will be all over Hunter Renfrow especially on third down and will jam the line to shut down our run game. Our offensive line HAS to play well and our receivers HAVE to get separation or it will be a difficult night . I'm hoping Tee and Justyn can break free and give our freshman QB some separation to throw to because Bama is going to try to pressure and confuse Lawrence. Our punter HAS GOT TO punt the ball well we can't give Bama the ball at the 40yard line every time. Play hard for 4 quarters Tigers and lift the trophy ! Go Tigers

It’s going to be a slug fest that we come out on top of in full force. Dabo has been setting them up all year with depth.

The national championship game last year was really in the semi finals. Our guys have been playing all year for this opportunity and we will take advantage of that.

I agree - I think our depth this year will be difference maker. Not only in this game, but the last piece Dabo needed to sustain the level of success we have learned to expect from this program.
