Resulting are inanely-contrived, humorous pieces that say a whole lot of nothing...and mean even less!

Did you read the methodology?
Mar 20, 2014, 7:24 AM
|

All they are doing is measuring how big the Wikipedia pages are of the people who are listed as alumni.
You can help Clemson out by going to a bunch of Clemson players' Wikipedia pages and making them really long.
Given the methodology, it's just a silly exercise, and I can't see why anyone would get upset about it.

Are you really upset about this?

Number one, they're using Wikipedia as their source. That automatically kills their credibility. Number two, it's a completely unscientific survey. Number three, who cares?
SCar graduates more people in general than Clemson, which alone is bound to give them more nationally prominent people. They also produce more politicians on the state and national level. (Of our 9 Congressional Representatives, 4 of them earned some sort of degree from SCar; only one earned a degree from Clemson.)
I don't really think it's that big a deal.

There was no "thinking". It's a silly measurement based on Wikipedia.

Stephen is a sad case of a young man being failed by an 'institution of higher learning.' If he's turning USuCk and SOS's failure into something positive it's a credit to him and his family.
I wish the boy the best.

Wow - I didn't realize TIME mag was still in existence as I haven't read that mag in 30-40 years. I guess I would have missed all of this important info about the stupid chickens.

The University of Florida is 2.76 times more influential than Johns Hopkins. (It got a big assist from sports-star alumni like Tim Tebow and Aaron Hernandez.)
Yeah, right.
