THROW THE BALL DOWN THE COURT.

Mar 8, 2014, 6:42 PM

2 seconds left, put a man at the other end of the court and throw it down there. No way they can score from there even if they get the ball from our man. Stupid coaching.

Call a timeout if you don't have a safe and secure passing opportunity.

You can't coach stupid and you can't play smart with a stupid coach. Not sure which one it was tonight.

Worst case it's tipped, and most likely runs time out or down a second or 2, the guys were totally out of it after that happened.

You notice that is exactly what Pitt did at the end of overtime to waste the last few seconds. I was initially very upset but now just happy to have done better than expected this year.

worse case scenario you throw it out of bounds and they get the ball under their basket. That is the worst case. Chances are someone touches it.

I was screaming this at the TV before he even threw it in

Mar 8, 2014, 8:31 PM

if it's even touched in the other half of the court, there's no time to make an organized attempt at a shot. ugh.

consensus that that would have been the better decision. Anyone saying otherwise is trying too hard to be one of those interwebz coaches...

not sure he could have passed the ball down court since the D guy was so close and hands up in air. Our player was not given the 3-ft cushion he is allowed..ref should have reminded him about that since the clock was stopped. However, our guy could have run the baseline to try to find an open man or throw down court. He can do that after a made basket

You sir are another one who is totally correct. You never, never throw the ball in at their end in front of their basket. I learned that in grammar school.
