First, I hope most of you have been able to overcome your grief over the Gamecock's loss last night. But there is good news. If they can win two of their next nine games, they will probably be bowl eligible.


Now this from the current issue of the American Legion Magazine.

60% of the coins produced by the US Mint are pennies

7 Billion pennies produced by the Mint in a typical year.

2 cents. Cost of producing a penny.

2 seconds. Time it takes a typical US worker to earn a penny.

$72 million+. Money the Mint lost making pennies in 2019

From my limited experience in the United Kingdom, I was impressed with the pricing of goods. The price was inclusive of taxes and usually an even amount. Used coins very little!
