Sunday Sermon: There are no words...

Nov 8, 2015, 7:10 PM

Literally ... the combination of pride, joy and exorcising ghosts transcends words.

Savor these moments, young Tigers: may they be the first of many to come.

I don't need to tell my fellow Silverbacks to savor these days, for we all know how far apart they may arrive.

So, rather than opine on the highs and lows as a Son of Clemson, here's a visual keepsake for when the memories begin to get fuzzy:

The Tigers take the field and the crowd goes wild... Then Dalvin Cook changes the mood quickly.

A minute into the game and FSU has the lead. A couple of minutes later ... there he goes again!

FSU fans are giddy as the War Chant echoes around Death Valley...

Meanwhile, the Tigers are having trouble moving the ball. Normally sure-handed receivers miss their routes or the ball sails out of reach. NOTHING seemed to be working!

Annnd, the Noles are driving again ... inside the Clemson 10, getting ready to put the game away early. Then from out of nowhere, hello Adrian Baker!

Rejuvenated, Clemson rises up. The Noles are getting confused. With time running out in the half, Clemson is in the red zone with a chance to tie the game. Then ...

DW SPIKES THE BALL?? ON THIRD DOWN??

But, the bleeding is stopped. Clemson trails at the half, but only by 4.

In the second half, there seems to be something ... different about the Tigers. Especially on defense. Dalvin Cook, a holy terror in the first half, finds things a little tougher in the third quarter. It seems the Tigers have his number.

And, on the other side of the ball, Jordan Leggett is suddenly EVERYWHERE!

The biggest catch, however came when Watson looked up and spotted Deon Cain. 38 delirious yards later, CLEMSON HAS THE LEAD!

FSU manages to squeeze another field goal to tie things up, but Clemson fans could feel ... just FEEL things had turned around.

The noise grew. The place is up for grabs! The fourth quarter begins tied 13-all. The Tigers need a stop. It's 4th-and-1.

FSU turns to Dalvin Cook.

Clemson turns to its defense. Who do YOU think is going to win?

As crunch time approaches, Greg Huegel adds another field goal. FSU begins another drive down the field, then .... say hello to Ben Boulware.

Boulware's hit and B.J. Goodson's recovery gives the Tigers the ball with the lead. All we have to do is hang onto the ball and escape with the win. DW and Clemson, though aren't interested in escaping...

Faster than you can say "End of an era," Wayne Gallman is in the end zone, Clemson slams the door on the Noles and the Valley melts into delirium.

A few folks are unhappy, of course....

But in general, all's well in Tiger Town. Enjoy the week and tell tale to all who can hear.

Clemson is back on top ... and we ain't going anywhere!
