Style points matter when a team has one loss at year-end ... And when a team doesn't have a Deshaun or another superstar leader that fans and advertisers nationwide want to see ... And when you have pollsters, lobbying firms and networks pulling for Big 10 teams and teams from larger population centers to be selected for playoffs.

As long as Clemson wins out, no worries! Yet with one Tiger loss, other one-loss teams from larger programs with larger lobbying groups and media influence move back into the playoffs picture including Ohio State and Oklahoma. Clemson's two TD win against Wake Forest will be spun and presented as a sign of mediocrity. And even with supposedly unbiased NCAA committee, public and network influence has weight. Wake is a well coached and improving program, but most of country does not know or care. Auburn win was a big win. They're all important, but today was just a win.

in the 2 Polls that no longer matter, The Playoff Committee is actually supposed to watch the games and vote not just on the final score and their conference affiliations(writers & coaches).Do you think that they'll just start watching games the week of their first poll ,or have they been watching all season ?

Both OU and Ohio St will both have multiple losses.

That was before we played bama in the last two NCG and won one. Clemson has proven itself and now goes into those discussions as the front runner. Everyone else is chasing us.
