Hard to believe we’ve done so well without only one 5 Star offensive lineman. Imagine if we can add a kid like Mays.

5 stars are rare. There are only about 25 per year, and only a couple are OL. So to "only" have 1 is pretty good. Interesting how good our 3 stars are. They are all playing at a 4 star level.

Wonder how many 5 star OLs are in college football this year. 4 stars are usually dang good players and sometimes you get great 3 stars. We seem to do really well at developing 3 star guys.

If you look at 24/7, Rivals and ESPN-RN, and accept the premise that if a player is a 4* or 5* on any of the three, then is a 4* or 5*, then:

Falcinelli, Giella and Cervenka are all 4*s.

All 3 redshirts (Bockhorst/DeHond/Vinson) are also 4*s.

That having been said, "want to" and good coaching trump star rating every time. And the proof is in the W-L record, where we come out smelling like a rose.
