Spring depth chart

Usually I remember there being a release of a Spring Depth Chart each season. That's how we noticed last year that Shaq Smith wasn't on it. However this year it has been MIA. I remember hearing rumblings a few weeks ago that Trevor Lawrence was listed as QB1. Many thought this would mean that KB would transfer to Arkansas (haha).

Now looking back I believe that Trevor Lawrence very well could be QB1 and KB QB2. I don't see the coaches demoting KB all the way to 3 based on one glorified practice (Spring Game). That leaves Johnson and Brice. If Johnson is the de facto #3 then I'm not the least bit surprised he would transfer.

My only concern now is holding onto Brice. I think Brice could be very good for us. He's a gunslinger in the mold of Tahj Boyd and I'm completely ok with that. He would give us a solid back up for the next 3 years and maybe start as a RS SR. I think we need to hold on tightly to our current commit Phommachanh and possibly add Beville for depth. I'm not opposed to looking for another option to pair with Phommachanh but I think the coaches have a pretty good relationship with Beville and would feel comfortable bringing him in.

Just thoughts I had about the Spring Depth Chart or lack thereof

If I'm not mistaken Brice's uncle is on the coaching staff and is here to stay.

I would love this depth chart. starter TL, 2nd string toss up KB/CB. I feel great having those 3 QB's.

I think we still have 3 great QBs so our depth is better than most schools. Next year we will need to hit on our recruits and especially need to hit on our '20 recruits.

but wondering what it truly looked like prior to Johnson exiting. KB could still be QB1 too so who knows.

I would assume he is. There is no reason for KB not to be.

whether he is 1 or 2. I think Lawrence is n the top 2 and that caused the Johnson exit.
