Were down 2-0 to 'Nova going in to the 7th. Hannah Goodwin hit a solo home run to bring us within one run, but we couldn't get any more baserunners on. Seemed like the story of the day - looks like we left 5 on base. These ladies have a lot of fight. Hoping we can pull out the next one today!

Valerie Cagle looks as though she had another good outing on the mound,minus the 2nd inning when she gave up a 2 run HR.I'm still wondering how both Valerie(8 appearances 41.1 inn. after today's game pitched so far) and Logan Caymol(8 appearances 31.2 inn going into today) are gonna make it thru an entire season since they appear to be the 2 doing the bulk of the pitching so far thru 13 games.There is one more on the staff,Emma Whitfield but she has only pitched 6 inn. in 4 games.

It's not that uncommon in softball to have 1 or 2 pitchers

pitch the bulk of the games. There's not a lot of stress on the arm/shoulder compared to baseball. In travel ball they've probably pitched 3 or 4 games in a day.

Maybe it's just me and I'm just used to Baseball Pitchers getting a week of rest and a Baseball staff consisting of around 20 Pitchers like Clemson's Baseball team has this season.
