ago, the NCAA BANNED the use of "Tear Away" jerseys....only to years later, create a penalty for grabbing a jersey and pulling a runner down backwards....You cannot trust the NCAA's judgement IMHO.

Another rule change to consider: if players didn’t wear helmets; the Targeting penalty would no longer be necessary.

That's exactly the way I see it bc, as long as they have helmets designed for bumping heads, heads are are going to get bumped, Period!!!

I wish tear away jerseys were still legal. Danny had his DLs wear them when we played teams that did a lot of offensive holding. I remember him doing that when we played ND up there in 1979.

The NCAA not only doesn't know the meaning of the word but couldn't spell judgment if you gave them the letters u d g m e n .
