Charlotte game was cancelled due to numerous positive tests on the 49ers OL. It later turned out that many of these were false positives so the circumstances of the cancellation are still somewhat murky.

UNC then tried to line up a game for this weekend. Most teams demanded the pre-COVID market rate of 1M for the game (with no return home game). UNC only was willing to offer 500k to play with no fans.
