So - what if you made $aban money?

Apr 22, 2019, 4:56 AM

It would be nice - but maybe not as great as you think. Still, pretty dang nice!

Nick is now at $12-million per year.

That's roughly $46,155 per DAY. But wait - after taxes it's (only) $26,725 per day:

Fed Tax per year: $4.37-million

Alabama Tax per year: $381,000

Soc.Sec. per year: $8,000

Medicare per year: $174,000

Local Taxes: $120,000

Total after-tax annually: $6.95-million

Kinda funny....after Jan. 15, Nick was finished paying his SS, Medicare, state & local tax - for the year! All he had left to pay was his $4.37-million Fed Tax.

All together, Saban pays about 43.5 cents of every dollar he makes in taxes. He'd pay more, but since he & his wife are 65 or over, he gets a small break.

Still too soon to talk about taxes . . .

Sorry

The "tax cut" might not have helped you or me

Apr 22, 2019, 8:18 AM

but what really matters is Nick Saban got to take home an extra $300k this year.

Liberal still won't be satisfied..

Until his take home is 80k.

I've been wrong two times, but this isn't one of them.

Imagine paying into medicare your whole life at basically

Apr 22, 2019, 8:13 AM

the maximum rate. After 40 years of paying in, you finally get to reap the benefits...and it still costs you $175,000 a year for the basic plan.

He's not paying for a plan. That's a tax***

When you turn 65, you go on medicare. Private insurance

Apr 22, 2019, 8:25 AM

won't cover you. So yes he is still being taxed for the basic medicare plan. It's like paying income tax on social security.

Yeah I’m pretty sure he’s paying somebody a decent fee to cut these taxes to no more than a third of posted amounts. That’s why the tax code is 17,000 pages long and politicians spend $10M to get a job that pays $170k.

They sucker other people into financing the 10M campaign

for them.

If I had $aban money, I’d probably be unavailable.
My observation, garnered over the last 20 years. Most, not all but most rich people got that way by being very focused on their work. The downside of that is they become their work and everything and everyone else takes a backseat to their work. I’ve seen it many, many many times. I’m talking about people with 100’s of millions of dollars. I had one tell me that he regretted missing out on his children growing. He said something to the effect of, “I wish I’d been there, but I wasn’t because I was working. Now it’s over and all the money in the world can’t buy me that time back”.
Eventually the work will end. Probably nurtured families don’t end.

Oh so correct - Gumby.... Never heard anybody say......

If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

there are a lot of people in their 50s and 60s

Apr 22, 2019, 12:44 PM

with 100 grand in their 401k or no savings at all that wish they would have worked a little harder

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Apr 22, 2019, 1:37 PM
