Since basketball is over what is the expectations next season?

Will we have the talent to make the NCAA tournament again? Or was this a once in 20 year accurace? I believe the expectations should be to make the tournament every single year. This season sure was fun

With all do respect I just curious where basketball goes from here. We are mostly a football school and football is my favorite sport. So I’m ok with that but I enjoyed the basketball season. And hope they can make the tournament regularly.

I don’t watch coots. Idiot! What in my post indicates to you that I’m a coot. I’m very sad to see this historic run end. I want to make the tournament every year. What part of that don’t you are anyone else understand. I’m a Clemson fan

I am happy to know we have someone who fulfills their need to be superior by correcting misspellings that are probably just fat fingering keys. i sleep better because of you!

Players. Will need to add some FR or grad transfer help.(another 3 pt shooting threat). Definitely NCAAT caliber team. Important to remember that the ACC usually starts the year with about 12-14 NCAAT caliber teams but schedule, luck, injuries and how you finish dictate which 8-9 get bids.

Your expectation is unrealistic. Making tourney every year

Is goal, but we should not go nuts and fire a coach because we don’t. There just aren’t enough at large spots and their is a tremendous amount of parity after they first 5-10 great teams who show up every year

I think wayyy too man (CU) fans have gotten the false sense that just because Clemson had a descent season this year. That now, we've "ARRIVED". Programs are built on several year success, not 1. Clemson has always had a good year every 7 to 8 years. And nothing suggest that the program has turned the curve. But, we'll see...

then the ACC is too good and balanced to think it will happen every year but making it back to the tourney next year is a realistic expectation. We return a lot from a starting standpoint and we have some good bench guys that have valuable skills. If someone leaves unexpectantly then expectations would need to be tempered but Shelton Mitchell is our MVP and Thomas will be a dominant force next year. Reed is our leading scorer. Simms was more than just a minutes guy down the stretch. Skara is a great defender. We won’t know what other teams rosters will be until later but this team has a chance to be as good if not better given the year to year progression we see in most of Brads players. I expect us to be better at the 5 spot next year. Devoe’s points will be spread around- we have more guys that can score than we’ve had in years.

Why should Clemson allow past seasons to determine future goals?!?

Just because we had moronic leadership at the administrative level for decades, which neglected to prioritize basketball appropriately, doesn’t mean that we should lower our standards. We just had one of our best seasons ever. There is no reason why we shouldn’t strive to do this every year.

We should be better down low with Thomas back and the freshman coming in along with William. We will miss DeVoe but Oliver looks to be the real deal imo. Trapp should improve and provide PG depth. Wonder how Newman will transition to college. He could get some quality pt. Simms is going to become a star imo. With Thomas, Reed, and Mitchell leading us we should be aleast top 6 in the ACC imo. Maybe we can do more than this year. I am very optimistic about it.
