Several coaches are now saying....

Aug 11, 2020, 10:08 AM

.... what others have been saying for the past few days. Saban and Franklin were just on espn. Both were saing that the athlete have a smaller chance of catching the virus if thier is a football season than if not.

Mike Greenberg was shocked that Dave Pollock, Booger McFarlain and Greg McElroy agreed with them.

I'd almost be willing to chuck the season if it meant that

Boooger and McDipshit were unemployed.

McElroy's claim to fame is that he was on the receiving end of the "Camback" Iron Bowl. I despise Cam Newton, but he made me smile that day.

Why the hate for Booger? I've always liked him personally. He was also one of the few guys picking Clemson last season. I can't remember if he picked us to beat LSU or not, but he had us ranked #1 for a large portion of last season.

Certainly not shocked that Greenie was shocked. I imagine he doesn't see how we could have a FB season - what is his stance?

Greenie is a hypochondriac anyway.

Of course Pollock, McFarland and McElroy agreed with them...

I personally don't get this thought. I do get why those guys would want a college football season to happen, but I don't get how having an opinion that the players would be less likely to get the virus by playing is only because their jobs depend on it, and not because that's what they actually believe. I'd say the opposite is true if you don't think a season can be played due to the virus when people react by saying that person hates college football.

I think a person can feel the season can't be played due to the virus without it being because they hate the sport and want to see it suffer. I personally think it's going to be hard to play the entire season from start to finish because eventually some guys will catch it and the pressure will be too large to allow them to finish the season. That's my opinion while also hoping that I'm wrong because I love college football and want to see us try for another NC.

Dabo was the first to speak out on it. This is nothing more than #metoo

Are you implying that #MeToo towards Dabo might not really mean "the players will be safer playing than not"?

Are you suggesting that #MeToo towards Dabo might really mean "I like our chances to compete for the natty this year"? That's why Saban, Franklin, et al. are speaking out?

Hmmmmm. An interesting theory.
