Schedule and chatter I am hearing

I've been kind of tuned in to what my peers are hearing at some of the other schools, and my phone has been busy. If the rumors are true, Clemson will play a Thursday and Friday night road game this season. Best guess is Thursday at GT on Sept 22nd and on a Friday at some point in October at Boston College. And based off of other things I'm hearing, Clemson would be away the week before playing South Carolina at home in the finale . Will let you know what else I hear.

Probably not, but he might try to make us play on Thursday and Saturday of the same week. Lets see, Louisville on Thursday and FSU on Saturday.

I may be in a distinct minority but I believe allowing your conference to play on Friday cheapens your product. Again, I maybe wrong but I don't thnk the SEC plays games on Friday nights. It's in the master plan for the "lesser" conferences(eSECpn implications, not mine) to play on Thusday, Friday, Wednesday to keep the "prime slots" for the big boys. Slippery slope in my opinion.

Thursday night games should never be played without teams coming off a bye. 2nd year in a row at least with that crap. Friday game is probably also a short week and will screw up one of the best road trips from a fan perspective.

I don't really get the attraction, but seems like Duke, WF and, maybe UVa would be the best schools to use those slots. The GaT game was game day worthy a few years back and would not seem to hurt for viewership. I think Pitt and BC are the only football programs north of Blacksburg that get any attention at all- doesn't make sense to sweep them under with off night scheduling.
