SEC paradigm for success:

Jan 3, 2013, 12:15 PM

1) ESPN pushes the conference
2) Media follows--puts four or five in top 10 early polls
3) SEC plays with itself (intramural masterbation) this way losses do not harm SOS and wins help
4) play pansies before rivalary games
5) have ESPN push further cuz you are still ranked so high
6) complain that the intramural masterbation is too physical and makes you go blind and weak when playing non-conference teams
7) have ESPN make excuses for you when you lose bowls (disinterested cuz it wasn't NC or the other team wanted it more, or the other team is really a SEC team cuz they have a coach that was once on a SEC staff, or the other team has a Florida player on it.
8) use roids--they make you big and shrink your nads and ######. You get angry when your nads and ###### shrinks--violent (so I am told)

Feel free to add what you feel is appropriate. Have fun!

;)

Coach your players to hit late, just not TOO late,

Jan 3, 2013, 12:20 PM

and stand over the guy you hit and beat your chest like a gorilla.

And coach them to fake injuries when desperate. OR

Jan 3, 2013, 1:43 PM

if you truly do find yourself as a team dropping like flies, ensure the media understands to feed any amoebas out there who buy their hype that SEC elite athletes aren't made for such gimmicky offenses and that their all-universe bodies have to be treated with respect and that, most certainly, they are superior to their scrappy but lucky opponent who, if the all-world [fill in the name of the SEC team] had been the least bit motivated, they would have squashed [fill in the name of the non-SEC opponent]. [Excuse this longest-sentence-of-my- life, but its endless string of excuses, with no break, pretty much sums up how ESPN and the SEC actually are.]

9) Not discipline your players
10) Lower academic standards or make exceptions

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

#10 is a BIG key to their success.

Jan 3, 2013, 12:26 PM

That #10 takes players we (and most ACC teams) will not accept, and gives them to the SEC.

We can name MANY players that we lost that way.. I can go way back to start:

Stephen Davis

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I was living in Spart. when Davis played at Spart. High

Jan 3, 2013, 12:47 PM

School. He had to be told what to do in the huddle. He could not memorize a play. They even tried colors--the center was white, the guard blue etc. I have been told that he still does not read above the 3rd grade level.

I remember him very well.... saw him on campus during his visits. But there have been many more.... who was the kid from NC last year that went to Fl after finding out he would not get in?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I remember one we wanted and thought he would go JUCO

Jan 3, 2013, 12:56 PM

but amazingly got into Fla. I think he was a running back. Not sure.

SEC players are so much faster they are having a hard time slowing down to make to tackle.

Juicing (and I'm not talking oranges)

Suspensions are for the offseason

Re: SEC paradigm for success:

Then the SEC-ESPN machine becomes self aware and begins suckin in unsuspecting recruits from all corners of the nation. Soon after, their teams become mechanized armies of roid-fed zombies incapable of precision football and interested in no other aspects of the game other than one-dimensional hitting. If we lived in Middle Earth, they would be the Orks.
