Rumor from the Sunshine State

Heard on the radio from Orlando Sentinel sports columnist Mike Bianchi, that the University of Florida AD is working on scheduling some big OOC opponents for football in the future. Clemson is a possibility.
Not sure when that would happen, but seeing as Clemson likes scheduling the SEC, I could certainly see a trip to the Swamp in the future.

Well, since UF has Towson and UT Martin on its schedule this year, maybe it is time they start thinking about beefing up the schedule a bit.

I think that would be good for our program adding another win from the sec least. Just keep breaking down the myth of the sec being some kind of a power FB conference that it's not!!!

They might agree to some "neutral site" game somewhere like Orlando, Tampa or Jacksonville, but I doubt they'd be willing to schedule a home and away with Clemson.
I'd love it but I won't believe it until I see it.

for a home with any P5 schools. 2021 is the only year we could consider a one off for a neutral site game(and we'd be giving up a home game- highly unlikely). We would have to buyout Wyoming or UCONN to do so. The only other openings til 2038 are instate FCS and Non-P5 home game spots. So unless UF wants to go down a level and move to SC or leave the SEC for the Sunbelt, then it isn't happening.
