If we still had only one national signing day does anyone think we would have finished higher than 6th? I know we may still go up but I do think this is one year in which the early signing period may have hurt us just a little. We are the talk of the town now until next season.

Im not an Expert but here is my take. Our staff new 3 things after the 2018 class.

1. We had a huge class to take in 2019
2. 2020 lined up to have star studded potential in almost every position
3. We had our QB to win and draw recruits for the next few cycles.

That being said my theory is get a handful of guys in 2019 who we covet (Ealy we hope, Ngata/Ladson, Booth, Davis, lay, Putnam) but use a majority to fill out character depth across the team.

You strugle long term if you dont recruit development players who are 3-4 year tigers and our staff is brilliant to understand this IMO

Perfectly explained. We sign such a class every 4 years. Depth, character, 4-5 year players.
