been published sooner. Clemson should be his obvious choice... i'm just ready for him to decide already... get it over with so we can talk about other stuff. i don't care if bama gets him, just as long as it ain't the shamecocks

Steele's aggressive D, Hobby's know how and NFL experience

Feb 11, 2011, 12:08 PM

along with input from Dan Brooks who knows how to get a DL ready, will have this young man a top pick in the NFL as soon as he is eligible. He won't get tht anywhere else.

You'd think, huh? If he wants a fast track to the NFL, CU should be it. He'll be there regardless, what's a couple million on draft day?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's it? Playing time and Draft History?

Feb 11, 2011, 12:31 PM

What about the other hundred things that are factoring into this?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: That's it? Playing time and Draft History?

Feb 11, 2011, 11:59 PM

Yeah, things like what kind of car will he get, or what classes won't he have to attend or how many arrests will he have at the other schools. He won't have to answer any of that at Clemson. When he's done, he can buy whatever car he wants. At Clemson, he won't see the jail, unless some girl makes something up, and there is no 5 points to practice thuggery at. He will be pretty smart after attending real classes, taught by real professors who really do care about him getting a degree, and he will have a real example set for him by coaches who walk the talk. Really is a pretty easy decision for a smart kid with smart parents.

OK, so Clowney could pick either of these 3 schools ...

Feb 11, 2011, 12:32 PM

... and play right away. Wow. What an enlightening comparison.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Wait, what?

Feb 11, 2011, 12:49 PM

SACKS:
South Carolina recorded 41 sacks last season, fourth-most in the nation. Under Steve Spurrier, South Carolina has averaged 30.5 sacks per season and allowed 3.98 yards per rush.

Alabama recorded a disappointing 27 sacks in 2010, tied for 52nd in the nation. Despite blitzing on 33.2 percent of opponents’ passing plays in SEC play, no Alabama lineman recorded more than 4.5 sacks last season.

Clemson recorded 27 sacks in 2010, tied for 27th in the nation. Tigers defensive end Da'Quan Bowers led the nation last season with 15.5 sacks.

wasn't John Abraham a 1st round pick at DE out of USuC?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yes, you are correct. Article has some pretty big errors.

Feb 11, 2011, 1:24 PM

must have idiots doing the research.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm confused do John Abraham and Kalimba Edwards not count?***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And 2nd rounderKalimba Edwards was a safety first I guess?

Feb 11, 2011, 1:41 PM

I'm a tiger through and through, but dude you're stretching this. Do you not remember him playing? must be before your time. He went back and forth btw LB and DE at SC just like they STILL have guys do. And he was drafted as a DE out of SC and has been a DE ever since. This article is misleading and you know it. Just calling it as i see it

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

he was a de who switched to lb***

coot.

Proof Abraham was still being considered a LB when drafted

well that sure puts that point to rest!!no one can doubt that any more!!

not quite. so you think that a guy who played DE and LB in

Feb 11, 2011, 1:51 PM

college and DE in his entire 11 year NFL career, should be considered a LB because some talking head listed him as a projected LB in the pros? dude

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

bottom line, if you do not agree with me on Abraham, that's

Feb 11, 2011, 2:05 PM [ in reply to Re: Proof Abraham was still being considered a LB when drafted ]

fine and it's debatable. But the article did not count Edwards AT ALL. He was a DE period and a second rounder (no SC DE's drafted in the first three rounds). Article is downright false in some regards (Edwards), and at the very least, misleading in other areas (Abraham)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

he waa drafted to play "lb" in a 3-4

Feb 11, 2011, 1:50 PM [ in reply to Proof Abraham was still being considered a LB when drafted ]

Do I need to give you a lesson on tactics?
