Out of those 6, go to Tenn.***

Out of those 6, If it were my kid, I would advise ...

Aug 2, 2012, 6:05 PM

1. Michigan
2. Virginia Tech
3. Auburn
4. Oregon
5. Tennessee
6. Ole Miss

If you are going to get a free education, get a good education. Any of the top three are solid academically. I could have easily reversed Virginia Tech and Auburn, but he is a Virginia kid and Blacksburg is so much nicer than anywhere in Alabama. Michigan offers excellent academics and a strong football program. The bottom three are pretty sketchy academically.

Oregon

Just based on who "i" like.

I have a feeling it's going to be VT

Aug 2, 2012, 1:25 PM

Just a hunch. Seems like he might fit there. Hope he doesn't pick "Aurburn", wherever that is ;)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Who cares, he had his chance with us, chose not to take it

Aug 2, 2012, 1:25 PM

Have fun playing in the basement of the SEC at Tenn or Ole Miss...

Aurburn is one of my faves too***

Usually when a recruit removes Clemson from his list...

Aug 2, 2012, 3:16 PM

it's because we have jerked the offer. No offense to Green but we'll never know the truth.

You just said the truth, we don't have a spot for him. And like you, I believe he has been told that by the Clemson staff.

I believe he should've been considered as oversign worthy and if he chose us in February then it was icing on the cake, if not then we don't have to worry about him as an oversign issue.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't know why we didn't go after this kid

Aug 2, 2012, 3:51 PM

more aggressively. If there's 1 thing we need, is assurance from the running game that we can get that last yard. A guy like this would help our red zone percentages greatly.

I'm PO'd we missed out on him.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not sure if serious

Aug 2, 2012, 3:54 PM

Everyone is going after him aggressively. Dabo let him know before the Cookout that there was a possibility a RB would commit, and he still decided to wait. He's just not committing early.

Robert Nkemdiche stopped by to say hello...

Aug 2, 2012, 4:30 PM [ in reply to I don't know why we didn't go after this kid ]

as our new short yardage back...

Re: Robert Nkemdiche stopped by to say hello...

Aug 2, 2012, 6:27 PM

That is true. I just hope that it doesn't come down to us having to rely on our DE to get us a TD in a goal line situation. I would prefer we have a RB to get that extra yard. I would hate the RN risk injury on a goal line play.

I think Ellington and Howard can get us that extra yard

Sorry Derrick, you had your chance.***

I'm glad he didn't jump soon enough at Clemson. IMO, I believe we got the better back in Tyshon Dye. IMPO!!!

DT William Perry did a pretty good job of it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah and the QB's were drop kicking FG's back then too***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Just saying...if we're no longer recruiting this...

Aug 3, 2012, 7:24 PM

young man, wish him luck and lets move on.
By all accounts, most feel like we're done at RB.

Glad Dye is a Tiger!
