I guess any news is good, but the South Charlotte Sports Weekly is pretty small time. There might be 12 to 15 high schools in the coverage area, and about half of them are private schools (ie Colton Walls and Morgan Roberts were likely 1st team for football). Also, Charlotte Christian plays in the same conference as Country Day and Latin (see previous football note).

So this is news, but not big news.

these schools. It has been a while since I lived there, but I recall kids being recruited to these private schools for basketball.
