For Baton Rouge native Warrick Dunn, doing what is right has become second nature.


This article made me think about the impact one person can have and how giving of yourself, your time, your money, etc. can have an impact that's hard to measure.

Just think of the impact his generosity has had on the clemson family. And that's just one house, one family, and one person in that family. Who knows how many thousands of people he has touched.

and his story was uplifting.

Becoming guardian at age 18 to his younger siblings after his Mother's tragic death spoke volumes to his character, but he has proven since his spirit of brotherhood and generosity with people from all walks of life.

Stories like his are the ones our young people need to learn and emulate.

Deshaun's mom got the house. Warrick furnished it.

Deshaun's mom was the one who worked with habitat to get the house. What I love about habitat is that a recipient must be vested in the home without it just being handed to them. Warrick Dunn rewarded that effort by furnishing the home.

It's very cool when a professional athlete is better off the feild than he was on it. And Warrick was a damnfine running back.
